Regulated clients need platform proposals they can defend to their own auditors. I reviewed and built sizing for data platform proposals and wrote out the capacity maths explicitly:
- erasure coding versus three-way replication, with utilisation headroom;
- separate disaster-recovery and immutable-backup tiers;
- point-by-point RFP compliance gap analysis with vendors.
