Before proposing a full data-centre migration, the team proved the riskiest step first: moving a live workload between hypervisors.
Under my technical leadership, the proof of concept migrated a live monitoring VM from Nutanix AHV to VMware ESXi using Veeam, with zero data loss. That gave the migration plan a tested path rather than an assumption.
